Tiffany McAfee

Tiffany McAfee

Tiffany McAfee is a Peoria, Illinois native.  She taught English at a high school in Bartonville, IL where she took at an active role in curriculum creation, teaching dual credit writing courses.  During this time she also taught part-time at Illinois Central College, a local community college. Looking for a challenge and greater opportunities to develop her craft and leadership skills, after ten years of teaching she decided to join Teach for America. In 2012 she moved east to become a founding blended learning teacher at Merit Prep Charter School in Newark, New Jersey.

Tiffany holds a B.S. in English with Secondary Education Certification from Eureka College and a M.A. in English from Bradley University. Her passion for supporting teachers has led her to pursue a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University.
